Cookie Policy

Effective Date: 28 October 2026

Last Updated: 28 October 2026

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device to help websites function and remember information. This policy explains how Theridion Limited uses cookies and similar technologies on www.theridion.co.uk and how you can control them.

2. Types of Cookies We Use

  • Strictly necessary cookies: support website operation and remember your consent choices. CookieYes manages the cookie banner and consent records. WP Consent API communicates consent categories between compatible WordPress plugins and may store category preferences in wp_consent_* cookies.
  • Analytics cookies: Google Analytics 4 (GA4), managed through Google Site Kit, helps us understand page visits, engagement, traffic sources and how visitors use the website. GA4 may use cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to distinguish browsers and maintain session information. Google Site Kit connects WordPress to Google services and displays reports; WP Consent API is not an analytics tool.

Analytics cookies are optional and require your consent. We do not use cookies for targeted advertising or social media tracking.

3. Consent

CookieYes displays a banner so you can accept or reject optional cookies and choose your preferences. Strictly necessary cookies, including those needed to remember your choices, do not require consent. WP Consent API helps compatible plugins, including Google Site Kit, receive your consent choices.

Google Consent Mode can adjust Google tag behaviour according to your choice. Depending on the configuration, Google may receive limited cookieless signals when analytics consent is denied; refusing cookies does not necessarily mean that no technical information is transmitted. Analytics cookies must not be stored or read without your consent.

Google and other service providers may process information outside the UK. See our Privacy Policy for information about international transfers and safeguards.

4. How to Manage Cookies

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by reopening the CookieYes cookie settings on the website. Refusing optional analytics cookies does not prevent you from using the website. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing.

Most browsers also allow you to:

  • View and delete existing cookies
  • Block cookies entirely or for individual websites

See your browser’s help section for instructions. Blocking all cookies may affect website functions and prevent your preferences being remembered. Deleting consent cookies may cause the banner to appear again. Cookie lifetimes depend on the cookie and the service settings; cookies can also be removed earlier through your browser.

For questions about cookies or your personal data, email info@theridion.co.uk. See also our Privacy Policy.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this Cookie Policy as the website or its services change. Updates will be posted on this page with revised effective and last-updated dates.
